Following the correct home aftercare after your Lash or Brow treatment is essential to prolong the length of your treatment. Please read carefully.
LASH EXTENSIONS
Before
Contact lenses MUST BE removed during lash applications. Please bring a lens case to store your lenses in during your appointment. You may put your contact lenses back in following your appointment.
Come to your appointment eye makeup free, this means no mascara, eyeliner or eye shadow.
Eyelash extensions CANNOT be applied to persons allergic to any type of adhesives.
Please disclose any eye conditions, injuries, medications or treatments used on/in or affecting the eye area in advance.
After
No waterproof mascara.
No oil based products arrow the eye area.
No water can come in contact with the eye area for 24 hours after application.
No tinting or perming of eyelash extensions.
No pulling or rubbing of the eyelash extensions.
Should any kid of eyedrops be necessary extra care should be taken to prevent moisture from coming into contact with the eyelash extensions.

Do not apply make-up or receive any other eye treatments for at least 48 hours after your treatment.
Do not touch the area treated.
Avoid swimming/sauna for 48 hours.
Keep Lashes Dry for 24 hrs - No wet them.
Keep If any stinging or swelling occurs, keep applying a cold dampened cotton pad, cold compress or cooling spray to soothe, if it persists seek medical advice and let Keep lashes dry for 48 hours.
Use a lash conditioner daily “MY SECRET Keratin Boost” recommended.
Comb the lashes upwards using the mascara wand.
MICROBLANDING
Before
Please do not work out the day of the procedure as the body heat will expands the pores.
Avoid heavy sunlight and especially sunburn 3 days before procedure. Skin should not be in process of healing before procedure!
Do NOT drink coffee or anything with caffeine the day of procedure.
Do NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen, omega-3, unless medically necessary, 48-72 hours prior to the procedure. (Tylenol or acetaminophen is okay!)
Do NOT drink alcohol 24 hours before the procedure.
The following treatments should avoided within four weeks of the procedure:

Candidates who are seeking permanent makeup and who may be contraindicated (meaning those that I cannot treat) are: * Those under 18 years of age. * People with diabetes. * Pregnant and lactating women. * People with glaucoma and people who are taking blood thinning medicines (e.g., aspirin). * People with skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema and undiagnosed rashes or blisters on the Site that is to be treated. * People with allergies to makeup or colours. * Those with easily triggered postinflammatory. hyperpigmentation are not good candidates. * Those with transmittable blood conditions like HIV or Hepatitis. * Active skin cancer in the area to be tattooed. * Are a hemophiliac. * Have healing disorders, on blood thinners, uncontrolled high blood pressure or had mitral valve Disorder. * Those on any skin medication such as ro-accutaine, steroids which thin and oversensitive the skin.
Let me know if you have/had allergic reactions to topical anesthetics.
After
Microblading post-care is very important to the appearance and longevity of your new eyebrows. Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow area during the first 7 days after your procedure.
After 5-7 days, make sure your hands are completely clean and gently apply the post-care ointment with clean hands. This can be done once at night time, but be sure to use the ointment sparingly as your skin needs to heal itself. Please continue to apply the ointment for 7 days.
The following must be avoided during all 14 days post-microblading procedure: * Increased sweating. * Practicing sports. * Swimming. * Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi. * Sun tanning or salon tanning. * UV/UVA Rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading. * Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the face or neck. * Picking, peeling, or scratching of the micro pigmented area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment. * Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris. * Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds. * Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles. * Touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing and applying the post-care cream with a cotton swab.
Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrow without getting water on the treated area. During the shower, keep your face away from the showerhead or take a bath.
Itching and flaking may appear during the first seven days post-microblading procedure. However, experience has shown that by following these after-care instructions, these symptoms may quickly disappear.
If you have any unexpected problems with the healing of the skin, please contact My Secret Studio immediately, to discuss further instructions.
Contact a physician if any signs or symptoms develop such as the following: fever, redness at the site, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, elevated body temperature, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, and/or any green/yellow discharge that is foul in odor.

Use a brow conditioner twice daily brushing through with a mascara wand “MY SECRET Keratin Boost” recommended, starting 24 hrs the treatment.
Avoid the temptation to touch the brow area after treatment.
Do not allow prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat; the use of sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for24 hours.
Do not apply Retin-A, AHA or exfoliate around the brow area for three days either side of the treatment.
No self-tanning products should be used on the face for 48 hours.
Pat face dry with towel after washing, no rubbing!
Sleep on back first night after treatment.
Avoid the gym for 24 hrs.
Do not use Henna for a minimum of 48 hours after the treatment.
